Cluid Office Fitout
project scope: GoKu was approached by Cluid, an approved housing body, to design an area management office for their team in north Dublin to include a meeting room, office and hot-desk facilities.
context: The offices are located on the ground floor of an existing mixed use building, adjacent to social housing stock which is managed by Cluid. It is open to the public and tenants by appointment. The space was originally designed as a live-work unit and required a planning application for a change of use as well as a fire safety certificate and a disability access certificate.
design challenge: The restrictive size and shape of the existing building became part of the design brief. The priority was to create universally accessible facilities with a practical & flexible layout while simplifying internal circulation. A public meeting room and reception area are adjacent to the main office. The space has been used to its maximum potential with integrated tea stations, waiting area and universally accessible toilet. Use of simple pallet of materials and colours created a contemporary and welcoming effect.
